Gioiello Contemporaneo Contest 2026: in mostra i finalisti della V edizione

Nel contesto della Milano Art Week e del Fuorisalone 2026, la Galleria Rossini inaugura sabato 18 aprile (ore 17.00) la mostra dei finalisti della quinta edizione del “Gioiello Contemporaneo Contest”. L’evento riunisce una selezione significativa della ricerca più attuale nel campo del gioiello d’autore, presentando oltre 80 opere realizzate da artisti, designer e orafi italiani e internazionali. L’esposizione offre così una panoramica articolata sulla continua evoluzione di questo linguaggio espressivo, tra sperimentazione materica, indagine formale e tensione concettuale.

Curata da Marina Chiocchetta e Sonia Patrizia Catena, la mostra collettiva si configura come un progetto espositivo che intreccia una lettura storico-artistica con un’indagine critica sulle pratiche del gioiello contemporaneo. Il percorso, infatti, si costruisce come un atlante in cui i monili dialogano idealmente con correnti, estetiche e immaginari che spaziano dall’arte antica alle avanguardie del Novecento, attivando un sistema di rimandi che rende il gioiello un punto di intersezione tra memoria culturale e sperimentazione attuale. Parallelamente, emerge una pluralità di approcci che spaziano dalla rielaborazione delle tecniche orafe tradizionali all’uso di materiali non convenzionali, fino alla dimensione narrativa e scultorea del gioiello.

Il monile si emancipa così dalla funzione ornamentale per assumere il ruolo di oggetto critico e relazionale, capace di attivare immaginari e costruire significati. In questo contesto, il corpo diventa superficie sensibile e spazio di relazione, mentre il gioiello si afferma come linguaggio autonomo, capace di inscrivere l’esperienza estetica nella dimensione del quotidiano.

In mostra, inoltre, le opere immaginifiche dell’artista Claudio Onorato, che saranno esposte in relazione con gli oltre 80 gioielli contemporanei.

I finalisti del "Gioiello Contemporaneo Contest" sono stati scelti da due giurie, una interna alla Galleria Rossini e una esterna, composte da curatori, giornalisti, esperti d’arte, docenti e designer. La selezione ha privilegiato la ricerca artistica, l’innovazione e la capacità di reinterpretare il gioiello come medium espressivo. I vincitori, che saranno proclamati durante l’inaugurazione della mostra, sabato 18 aprile, riceveranno prestigiosi riconoscimenti, tra cui: una mostra personale presso la Galleria Rossini, l’opportunità di esporre al Museo del Bijou di Casalmaggiore, la possibilità di presentare le proprie opere presso lo Spazio E di Ghemme, altresì un articolo dedicato a firma di Laura Astrologo Porché sul suo Journal des bijoux.

La mostra, che aprirà al pubblico in occasione della Milano Art Week sabato 18 aprile, sarà visibile anche in occasione del Fuorisalone e fino al 30 aprile, da martedì a sabato ore 10.00 -19.00.

In the context of Milano Art Week and the Fuorisalone 2026, Galleria Rossini inaugurates, on Saturday 18 April at 5.00 pm, the exhibition of the finalists of the fifth edition of the “Gioiello Contemporaneo Contest”. The event brings together a significant selection of the most current research in the field of author jewellery, presenting over 80 works by Italian and international artists, designers and goldsmiths. The exhibition thus offers a multifaceted overview of the ongoing evolution of this expressive language, spanning material experimentation, formal investigation and conceptual inquiry.

Curated by Marina Chiocchetta and Sonia Patrizia Catena, the group exhibition takes shape as an exhibition project that interweaves an art-historical perspective with a critical investigation of contemporary jewellery practices. The display unfolds as a kind of atlas, in which the pieces enter into an ideal dialogue with movements, aesthetics and imaginaries ranging from ancient art to the avant-gardes of the twentieth century, activating a network of references that positions jewellery at the intersection of cultural memory and present-day experimentation. At the same time, a plurality of approaches emerges, from the reinterpretation of traditional goldsmithing techniques to the use of unconventional materials, extending to the narrative and sculptural dimensions of jewellery.

The ornament thus emancipates itself from its purely decorative function to assume the role of a critical and relational object, capable of activating imaginaries and generating meaning. In this context, the body becomes a sensitive surface and a space of relation, while jewellery asserts itself as an autonomous language, capable of inscribing aesthetic experience within the realm of the everyday.

Also on display are the imaginative works of artist Claudio Onorato, presented in dialogue with the more than 80 contemporary jewellery pieces.

The finalists of the “Gioiello Contemporaneo Contest” have been selected by two juries, one internal to Galleria Rossini and one external, composed of curators, journalists, art experts, lecturers and designers. The selection prioritised artistic research, innovation and the ability to reinterpret jewellery as an expressive medium. The winners, who will be announced during the exhibition opening on Saturday 18 April, will receive prestigious awards, including: a solo exhibition at Galleria Rossini; the opportunity to exhibit at the Museo del Bijou in Casalmaggiore; the possibility to present their work at Spazio E in Ghemme; as well as a dedicated article by Laura Astrologo Porché in her Journal des bijoux.

The exhibition, opening to the public during Milano Art Week on Saturday 18 April, will also run throughout the Fuorisalone and until 30 April, from Tuesday to Saturday, 10.00 am – 7.00 pm.
